A Team That Prays Together…

…won the State League Championships at the men’s 2.5 level!

The majority of Ryan Mobley’s team worships together at Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain.  These now-state-champions used to get out on the courts together whenever they could, and decided to find a place to play competitively.  That place is the Atlanta USTA League. 

Ryan said, “We’re all addicted to competition and we love these USTA events.”  He says they’ve really enjoyed meeting the other great teams and players from all over the state here in Augusta this weekend. 

Now that they’re state champions I asked Ryan if some of his team members would be moving up to the 3.0 level, and if that would split up the team.  “Yes, we’ll be moving up,” he said.  But to the possibility of splitting up the team Ryan replied, “Oh no!  We will start this summer season at 3.0, but we’ll all move up together.”
