With so
many competitive teams here this weekend we’ve seen some really
close matches. As we get to the finals I’m expecting even more
tie-breaks.
I’m certain I don’t need to remind you of this part, but bear with
me. At six-all in the first or second sets, a tie break will be
played to determine the winner of that set. |

Easy enough, right? But sometimes, if you’re playing doubles, who’s
supposed to serve the game following the tie-break can be a bit
confusing.
Here’s the call:
The player, or doubles team, whose turn it was to serve first in the
tie-break game shall be the receiver in the first game of the following
set. It is important to remember in doubles, the rotation of service within
each team during the tie break shall continue in the same order as during
the set. Once the tie break is concluded and the new set is to begin the
serving rotation may be altered.
