Sporty Chic Boutique Goes Mobile
By Robin Dawson

If you forgot to bring along that extra T-shirt or hat you’re in luck.  The Sporty Chic Boutique brought merchandise all the way from Chattanooga for the State Championships in Augusta.  Kristen Wingo and Pam Clark are daughter and mother co-owners and operators of Sporty Chic.  They drove a “packed to the gills” mini-van down Thursday full of merchandise to sell.

They started the business a year ago when Kristen and her husband needed a more flexible schedule for their newly expanded family.  Kristen and Pam say the business is going well so far, and they’re thankful for opportunities like this one to get exposure.

They’ve got plenty of women’s clothing items, along with bags, hats and all kinds of great gifts.  And yes men, they do have something for you.  You can find T-shirts and even try out Frogg Toggs.  What’s a Frogg Togg, you ask?  It’s a kind of towel that you wet, and it stays cool for hours.  Pam says, “It dries you off and makes your sweat cold.”  Frogg Toggs was featured as one of Tennis Magazine’s 2008 Must Haves.

Stop by the big blue tent at Newman Tennis Center to see what you can’t live without!
